Do I have to wear Indian attire at the Sangeet/Mehndi Night and American Attire at the Wedding?
Absolutely not! We want our guests to be comfortable at both events and wear the style that fits them. That being said, we do encourage guests to break out of their shell and experience something new.
Dress code is Indian/American formal. See "What to Wear" tab for details, examples, and places to shop.
Is there anything to avoid wearing?
We kindly ask that ladies refrain from wearing white on the Wedding Day. Please see the "What to Wear" tab for further details.
Will there be wedding shuttles?
Yes - please see the "Travel" tab for more information.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Due to limited venue space, we unfortunately can't accommodate plus-ones beyond those named on the wedding invitation. We hope you understand our decision. Please reach out if you are unsure!
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We have decided to keep our wedding an adult-only event. We encourage you to use this night as a night out on us and enjoy!
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We have decided to have an unplugged wedding ceremony. Kindly refrain from taking photos and videos during the wedding ceremony. Our photographers and videographers have it covered! We look forward to seeing all of your photos from the Reception!
What type of food will be served?
The Sangeet/Mehndi night will feature Indian cuisine with both veg and non-veg options. We encourage you to try all of the unique flavors that Moghul Caterers has to offer!
The Wedding will have a mix of different cuisines including Indian and American cuisine during the cocktail hour and reception. Come hungry!
What will the dining style be?
The Sangeet/Mehndi Night will have cocktail style dining, with small plates offered at various stations.
The Wedding reception will feature a seated dining experience with a menu of Indian and American cuisine options.
Where should we bring/send wedding gifts?
If you would like to honor us with a boxed gift, you can have it delivered to our home through the registry. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?
The reception will end at 11:00 PM. There is an after party on site at The Stork Club - Hudson House's rooftop bar. See you party animals there!
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
There will be no gap. Cocktail hour and reception will promptly follow the ceremony.
Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?
Absolutely! Jersey City is our home and we would love to see you enjoy every moment you spend here! We have some fun recommendations in the "Things To Do" tab of the website.
